North America's largest native fruit, pawpaws are considered a rare seasonal delicacy among foragers and food and beverage conoisseurs. This delectable, highly sought-after fruit is often described as a tropical mix between banana and mango. Whit will guide guests on a half-day foraging tour during pawpaw season (late August - mid September 2021) and teach folks how to find, forage and grow this delectable native fruit at home. The tour will include a charcuterie and cheese board from HenHoc Butcher Shop and wrap up with a winetasting of fine, natural wines from Downtown Wine & Spirits led by renowned sommelier and founder of Real Wine Retreats Maja Roy.
